1. Principal/Parent Contact Guidelines:
- Parents/Guardians wishing to meet the Principal should do so during the allotted interview times:
- For 9th to 12th Grade: Monday to Saturday, 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. (without prior appointment)
- For KG to 8th Grade: Monday to Saturday, 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. (without prior appointment)
- If these timings are inconvenient, parents can meet the office staff between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on any working day. Requests can be made in writing or orally.
Parents are kindly requested not to contact the Secretary or Principal personally at their residence or by phone.
2. Parents Involvement in Education:
- Parents are regarded as partners in their child’s education, and their active participation is encouraged in various school activities, such as:
- Parents-Staff Contact Sessions
- Annual Day
- Talent Show
- Exhibition
- Matches
- Seminars
- Mini Sports Day
- Other Celebrations
- Parents with special knowledge, skills, or interests are invited to contribute by contacting the Co-Ordinator of Co-Curricular Activities at the school office. This could include:
- Training children in cultural events
- Coaching athletic events
- Giving special lectures
- Organizing field trips
- Contributing to inservices and career development
- A strong, cooperative relationship between parents and staff is vital for student success. Parents are encouraged to attend the Parent-Staff Contact Sessions to engage with teachers. These sessions are crucial for monitoring the student’s progress in both academics and character development.
- Meeting Teachers:
- Parents can meet with teachers during designated times between 9:30 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. on the specified dates for Parent-Staff Contact Sessions.
- Meetings with teachers will be conducted department-wise.
- Note: Only parents are allowed to meet the staff during these sessions.
- Parents are not allowed to meet teachers during school hours (8:50 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.) as teachers are busy with class preparation and correction work.
3. Instructions For Parents:
- Parents/guardians are requested to cooperate with the school in maintaining discipline, encouraging initiative, and promoting good behaviour.
- For information about their child’s progress, parents should approach the Head of the school, not the class teacher.
- Parents or guardians are not allowed to meet their children or teachers during school hours without prior permission from the Secretary/Principal.
- Parents should not wait near classrooms or verandahs during class hours.
- Parents are encouraged to enforce regularity, punctuality, and discipline and take an interest in their child's progress.
- Parents should ensure that proper contact numbers are provided for communication regarding disciplinary actions and the safety of their child.
- Mobile phones or unsupervised smart phones should not be given to children.
- Parents must sign monthly reports, attendance records, absence records, and notes sent by teachers.
- Leave of absence should not be encouraged for social or religious functions (except for blood relatives' weddings).
- Parents should provide the required uniforms, stationery, and accessories for their child.
- Parents should ensure that their child returns to school on scheduled reopening dates after long holidays.
- Any changes in the parent/guardian address should be communicated promptly.
- Parents should meet the Principal only on the specified days and timings for interviews.
- Smoking is prohibited on the school campus, including the office and reception areas.
- Parents should familiarize themselves with the curriculum and facilities available at the school.
- The rules and regulations in the Prospectus are created for the general benefit of the institution and will not be altered for individual requests.
- The authorities may issue additional disciplinary rules as needed to maintain the school's reputation.
