1. Attendance:

Absentees without obtaining early permission will be dealt seriously. If a student is absent due to illness or other unavoidable reasons, a letter of explanation must be provided to the Principal either in advance or upon returning to school.

If a student is absent for 10 consecutive days without prior notice, their name will bestruck off from the roll.If re-admitted he/she has to pay the re-admission fee.

To ensure academic progression, a minimum of 75% attendance is mandatory for promotion to the next grade.

Absentee Work: 

  • Students who miss school must complete the notes from the days they were absent before continuing with the current lessons.

2.Attendance Contract

Students with frequent absenteeism, those lacking parental signatures on leave applications, or those falling short of the minimum attendance requirement will be placed on an Attendance Contract. This contract will outline the consequences of further attendance issues.

Key points of the contract include:

  • Parents must contact the Principal's office whenever the student is legitimately absent or the absence will be considered  to be unauthorized.

  • The contract must be signed by the parent, student, and Principal.

3.Leave Policy

Students requiring leave for more than three days must obtain prior permission from the Principal. If leave is taken without advance notice, parents will be notified through an “Absence Intimation Card” and a phone call.

Upon returning from leave, a leave letter must be submitted, clearly stating the reason for absence.

The leave application must include:

  • Name of the student

  • Dates and days of absence

  • Date of application

  • Total number of days absent

  • Class and Section

  • Reason for absence

  • Signature of Parent/Guardian

Medical leave is granted only for health-related issues such as Sickness,Fatigue, ill health ,hurt to the extent of inability to move.

Leave requests for the following reasons should be avoided:

  • Family weddings (other than blood relatives)

  • Accompanying parents on trips

  • Attending non-significant religious ceremonies

  • Preparing for exams (school or competitive)

  • Assisting with parental business/occupation

  • Entertaining visitors or relatives at home.
